Who he is

Part grand hotel.
Part guardian angel.

The Lobby Boy is FluffCo in a person: a man who takes five-star service personally and your sleep even more so. He belongs to two worlds at once. The grand hotel, where the cap is pressed and the gloves are white. And the quieter one, where someone notices what you need before you ask, so you can finally let go.

He does not make a fuss. He does not accept tips. Every time he appears it is the same gesture: he clocks what you are carrying, quietly relieves you of it, and leaves something soft in its place.

  • 01

    Luxury is felt, not announced.

The best service is the kind you only notice afterwards. Usually around 2 a.m., face down, very pleased.

  • 02

    Atmosphere is everything.

The room, the light, the quiet. If a floorboard creaks, he has a word with the floorboard.

  • 03

    Details are everything.

Down to the fluff. He has opinions about thread count and will share them, but only if asked twice.

The series

Six episodes.
Three checked in.

Each episode is one of his standards, told in about a minute. Best watched with the sound on, and ideally lying down.

Episode one

Service Is the Standard

Luxury is felt, not announced. The Lobby Boy checks into a villa and makes the quiet case for comfort of the highest quality.

Episode two

Atmosphere Is Everything

Presenting: a piano, a lounge, and a guest who needs the mood kept exactly as it is. Ambiance must be preserved.

Episode three

Details Are Everything

Poolside, a trumpet, a bath drawn just so. Every detail, down to the fluff. That is why we give a fluff.

Five-star service isn’t luxury for its own sake. It’s care precise enough that you can finally rest.

Bloopers

Even the Lobby Boy loses his composure. Rarely, briefly, and never in front of a guest.

Behind the scenes

The Process

The process versus the result. A dolly, a duvet, and a lot of lying very still.

White Gloves

Getting into character, one glove at a time. The cap goes on last. The cap always goes on last.

The booth · One weekend only

In real life

He took the lobby to the sidewalk.

For one weekend in New York, the Lobby Boy stood beside a phone booth and invited strangers in. Say something you have been carrying. Scream into a pillow if you need to. Walk away with the pillow. He insisted.

The films show the promise. The booth proved it. Several people asked if he was single. He was on duty.

What he carries

Everything in the
films is real.

The pillow he hands over, the robe on the guest, the scent in the room. Same suppliers as the great hotels, minus the markup and the minibar prices.
